2. Military Discounted Disney Theme Park Tickets (DTP)

- Available for purchase at Shades of Green or your local ITT/MWR office
- Flexible lengths from 1 to 10 days.
- Dated tickets with variable pricing.
🎯 Where to Buy Your Tickets
You can purchase discounted military tickets from:
- Shades of Green Ticket Office (on Walt Disney World property)
- Your local military base ITT/MWR office
Always purchase through official military channels or Shades of Green to ensure authenticity and savings.
🎫 Activating Your Military Salute Tickets
Shades of Green Purchases:
- Tickets purchased through Shades of Green come already activated. There is no activation step at a Ticket Window.
- However, for Promotional/Salute tickets, Disney still requires ID verification on the first day of use.
- That means the eligible military member or eligible spouse must be physically present at the turnstile with their guests and must show a valid military ID.
- If the ID holder is not present for that first entry, Disney will turn away the guest(s)—even if the ticket is already active.
Base Offices (ITT/MWR):
- Tickets purchased through base ticket offices are not activated. These tickets must be activated at a Disney park Ticket Window (or the Disney Springs Ticket Center) on the first day they are used.
- The eligible military member or eligible spouse must be present with valid military ID for this activation step.
Important:
- Disney’s published Salute ticket policy requires that the eligible military member (or eligible spouse) accompany the guests using these tickets for theme park admission — this requirement remains in effect.
🎟️ Linking Tickets to My Disney Experience
Once your ticket number arrives via email:
- Create (or log into) your My Disney Experience account.
- Link your ticket using the ticket ID number provided.
- Make required park reservations (Salute tickets only).
📅 Theme Park Reservations
Disney currently requires advance theme park reservations for Salute tickets. After linking your tickets, you must:
- Secure your reservation as early as possible.
- Reservations can be made prior to ticket activation.
📌 Important Things to Remember
- Disney Military Salute tickets have expiration dates; check carefully!
- Always carry your military ID when using military Salute tickets.
- Salute tickets have blackout dates around major holidays—check your dates carefully.
- Military Discounted Disney Theme Park Tickets (DTP) are date-based, meaning they’re valid only within a set time frame based on your selected start date.
- Disney’s published Salute ticket policy requires that the eligible military member (or eligible spouse) accompany the guests using these tickets for theme park admission.
📄 Important Info for Veterans with a DD214
- Veterans with a DD214 (honorable discharge) can purchase discounted, tax-free Disney tickets in person at Shades of Green—but only during January or September.
- Staying at Shades of Green? You can submit your ticket request online up to 30 days prior to your check-in date.
👉 Be sure to bring your DD214 and a valid photo ID for verification.
