A Nostalgic Step Back in Time
Our visit to the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort was an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped inside, the nostalgic Atlantic beach vibe set the mood. Oldies music played on the jukebox, instantly transporting us back in time while lifting our spirits.
What We Ordered
The menu at Beaches & Cream is full of classic diner favorites. Here’s what our family tried:
- Patty Melt – My choice, and it was cooked to perfection!
- Angus Beef Burger – Josh’s pick, juicy and flavorful.
- Grilled Cheese with French Fries – Aiden swapped out the usual tomato soup for fries, and it hit the spot.
Side options include potato tots, French fries, or onion rings—and the onion rings deserve a special mention because they were fantastic.
We also have to give credit to Matt, our Cast Member, who made the experience even better. He offered helpful recommendations and kept things fun, even during the busy dinner rush. By 6:30 p.m., the kid crowd began to quiet down, and the atmosphere became even more enjoyable.
Sweet Treats and Ice Cream Dreams
Of course, dessert is the star of the show at Beaches & Cream! We each tried something different:
- Banana Split – My nostalgic favorite that delivered on every level.
- Snickers Sundae – Josh savored every bite of this indulgent treat.
- Cotton Candy Soda Ice Cream Float – Aiden loved every sip of this colorful creation.
And then there’s the legendary Kitchen Sink Sundae. While we didn’t order it ourselves, watching another family receive theirs was pure entertainment. The lights dimmed, alarms went off, and all eyes turned as eight scoops of ice cream topped with every topping imaginable (and an entire can of whipped cream!) arrived at their table. It truly felt like an event.
Overall Impressions
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Between the delicious comfort food, friendly service, and over-the-top desserts, we had an unforgettable evening. It’s a must-try spot if you’re staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort or simply looking for one of the most fun dining experiences at Disney World.
We’ll absolutely be back on our next trip. And maybe next time… we’ll tackle the Kitchen Sink!
